Day 30 - Shaped for Serving God

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

DAY 30

Point to Ponder: I was shaped for serving God.

Verse to Remember: "God works through different men in different ways, but it is the same God who achieves his purposes through them all." 1 Corinthians 12:6 (Ph)

Question to Consider: In what way can I see myself passionately serving others and loving it?

  1. "Nothing that happens in your life is insignificant. God uses all of it to mold you for your ministry to others and shape you for your service to Him." pg. 235

It's great to know that no matter my past, God will still use me. Sometimes the horrible mistakes we've learned from can be used to encourage others who are going through it now.

Anyone who knows me; I LOVE reaching out to the people in the community. Showing God's love in creative and sometimes silly ways. I believe there are many hurting and lonely people out there- if we can stop and invest to with them it can really make their day.

Next Saturday, we are giving out "kisses" on Valentine's Day (that's hershey kisses). All we say is, "Here are a few kisses on Valentine's Day. God loves you!" So simple, but it will make people to think about God's love... even if it's for a moment.

  2. I'm not sure what exactly my spiritual gifts are.
I love to talk and I love art and I feel good helping in a lot of different ways. But I also don't mind "boring" tasks either- like the accounting- it makes me feel good that I'm able to serve. I guess I know some areas I'm not interested in- like the worship team- not because I don't love the music and singing but because I can't sing very well and I don't play an instrument. I'm not interested in the powerpoint and all that jazz for the technical side of things. I'm not interested in full time kids ministry. So I guess I kind of know where my passions would lie and where I would be able to serve best- but I'll try anything if I'm needed!

  3. I would really enjoy playing guitar on a worship team, though I generally doubt my ability to do so well. I do better with computers and could help out with a church website or those crazy powerpoints :)

  4. My friend, you are very good with the guitar! I think it's a confidence thing. God has given you such an ability, it will be very cool to see how God uses it for His glory!
